Zoo school in our
grade one class began with no bell! No one set the time nor the agenda!
Suddenly in early January, when their reading skills were well developed, students requested books about animals. There could not be enough books about snakes, turtles, spiders ,and even squirrels. |
| In the beginning, only the more able readers were interested in these factual books. After one child brought information to the whole class during attendance ( a time of questions and answers and speculations-more than attendance), interest became keen! |
