STEP 1: Sharing your
information posters.
1.
Now is a good time to review the research and drawings you did
for your information posters. Each group should present
their primate poster information with the class. This is a
great way to learn about the other primates and to practice
good listening skills!
2.
When everyone is finished, display your posters beside
the habitats.
STEP 2: Imagine and write
about your primate story.
1.
Imagine you were a Cotton Topped Tamarin or a Spider Monkey or
whatever is your assigned primate and pretend that you are
suddenly the size of your primate model. Guess where you
live? That’s right, inside your primate habitat. Think about
what it would be like to live there. What would you do all
day?
2.
When you’re ready, title your story and don’t forget
your name:

3. Now
write about what it would be like to be your primate. It’s
always a good idea to look over your writing. When you are
happy with your story, draw a picture to illustrate your
story.
4. Your
story can now be added to the other primate stories. These
can all be put together in a class book to read together and
share.
